ALPS ON TWO WHEELS: THE GRAND TOUR OF ITALY'S PEAKS

Here’s a motorcycle itinerary designed for curve enthusiasts and lovers of breathtaking scenery. Starting from Milan, you’ll traverse the smooth roads of the Lombardy plains before ascending toward Merano, renowned for its thermal baths and the panoramic twists and turns of the Mendola Pass. From here, the journey becomes more technical and spectacular, winding through the passes of the Dolomites between Cortina d’Ampezzo and Canazei, such as the Pordoi and Falzarego Passes—perfect for those who enjoy challenging hairpins and extraordinary views.

Continuing toward Riva del Garda, the roads grow softer and more flowing, guiding riders along the lake in a delightful mix of mountain grandeur and Mediterranean charm. Heading up to Madonna di Campiglio, you’ll return to high-altitude air, navigating winding routes through alpine forests and valleys. The ultimate challenge lies in crossing the Stelvio National Park, where the legendary Stelvio Pass, with its 48 hairpin bends on the South Tyrolean side, is an unmissable highlight.

In Livigno, the curves become gentler, but the altitude and scenery keep the thrill alive. Returning to Milan via the Valtellina region, the tour offers a final opportunity to savor the joy of riding amidst vineyards and historic villages. A journey requiring skill, passion, and a well-prepared bike, this adventure is a perfect blend of freedom and discovery.
